Biscuits & Gravy Class with Marcesa Harper
Join Marcesa Harper as she instructs on how to make delicious homemade biscuits. Each participant will make biscuits (to take home to enjoy later) and then enjoy a full brunch of eggs, bacon and grits. Orange juice and coffee included.
About Marcesa Harper:
Chef Marcesa Harper is a native of Hendersonville and is the Executive Chef and Food
Service Director at Bonclarken Conference Center in Flat Rock, NC as well as the Owner and
Private caterer for A Cuisine Affair Hendo. Marcesa got her start in kitchen life in 2004 and
worked her way towards her passion, graduating from Gardner Webb University and Auguste
Escoffier School of Culinary Arts and working various positions in restaurants, private catering,
and meal prep. She is passionate about making the culinary arts accessible to everyone, no
matter their skill level in the kitchen. Growing up, Chef Marcesa learned cuisines from her
Caribbean background as well as her Southern Appalachian roots. In her cooking she brings
both of those cuisines and cultures together to continue passing on the memories and history
behind those dishes as well as bringing in other cuisines for a truly New American flavor. When
not in the kitchen, you can find Marcesa hiking in the woods with her family and friends, honing
her foraging skills in our abundant local area, or playing in her garden.
